Hides are carefully selected appropriate for flooring and walls, only the center portion of the hide can be used, where there is uniformity in thickness and the fibers are strongest.

Most crucial and important is the cutting process too, tiles to specific sizes needs to be cut from hides using special tools and heavy duty machinery maintaining equal pressure on all four sides with slightly champored edges for minimum visible joints.

Thus a leather floor/wall tile is created.
